Hello! I'm Jerry W. Murphy. Welcome to my homepage! I got married on December 7th, 1998 to Gina Berry of Haleyville, Alabama. I'm now living part of the time in Alabama on the farm. That's a new experience for this city boy! I like the farm. It's such a nice, quiet, peaceful place to be.
I've always had an interest in sports. Mostly baseball, basketball and football as well as hunting and fishing. Perhaps you have too. I'm currently involved in a few Fantasy Sports Leagues on the Internet and find them very interesting. If you like sports and haven't tried them out, maybe you should.
I like life in all it's mysterious deversity. Watching things grow is just so fascinating! They say I inherited my grandmother's green thumb. So I naturally like to grow things. Gardening can be a nice hobby to relax with but it can also be a job. No matter how hard we try we can never duplicate the beauty of nature and the wonders of it all but gardeners and landscapers keep trying.
I like all kinds of animals. My favorite are Dogs. It seems like I've always had one. They make great companions. Dogs over the years have been breed into various shapes, sizes and colors to suit the many likes and dislikes of people.
My interest in Genealogy first came about while doing a class assignment my Junior year of high school. But it wasn't until a few years later that the bug really bite me. I haven't been as active the last few years as I have in the past. I just never seem to have enough time. I am the list owner of three county mailing lists online and two surname lists. They are: Franklin County, Alabama; Hardin County, Tennessee; Wayne County, Tennessee; Cochran and Patterson. You can click on either if you want to send a message to the list.
